My experience with Executive Flight Academy
My experience with Executive Flight Academy
We flew to Spa Belgium on 22nd of May. Then on 23rd of May we flew from Spa to Saint-Hubert and then back. Around 15:00 we returned to airport.
I have got 3 hours PPL course from my boyfriend as a surprise for my birthday. He knew that I want to become a pilot so he found out about Executive Flight Academy.
I never heard before about this academy, so I was pretty nervous when he told me what exactly his surprise was while we were driving to Airport!
Henry Blommers was my instructor pilot, he met us on the entrance. Henry was very friendly, talkative and helpful.
First we had short instruction before flight. He explained how to navigate your flight. After that he was showing how to check up the plane before you take off, it was quit interesting. My plane was Cesna 172. It was small plane, but there was enough space for four of us and our luggage.
Flight was exciting, but in the same time strange for me, too much emotions what I can’t explain. Never had I flown before as a pilot. I really enjoyed flying and finally I was in control, I could feel plane it was unusual, but it was just breath taking.
The facilites are good and yes its a long drive but hey look at the savings!
These flights helped me to make my mind and make a decision what I really want. To become a pilot, so now I going to definitely apply for this academy and hopefully after 1, 5 years I will be a pilot. But first they want we to pass the compass and other tests. they also explained that it is a long tough road to get the first job but that 1500 hrs with 250 me should get me there. Getting a job now is impossible but there is one lightray: Starting now when the blood runs through the streets means you will be ready when it picks up. also my homecountry is in need of many JAA pilots that speak Latvian.
Hope this sheds some light on it all.
