Texel Fly-in 2015

Van 4 t/m 6 september vind de grootste fly-in van Nederland weer plaats, de Texel Fly-in.
Dit jaar zijn er vele interessante lezingen, exposities en vieringen van 70 jaar Pitts Special S-1, 95 jaar Stinson Aircraft en 75 jaar Ercoupe.
De lezingen en exposities vinden plaats op zaterdag 5 september van 10.00 tot 17.00.
S'avonds zal een grote BBQ op klassiek Amerikaanse stijl.
Of verken het prachtig eiland met een fiets.

Dear Texel Fly-In participant,

We have been looking to the weather this upcoming weekend. We had to make a very difficult decision. A number of participants already cancelled their participation due to the weather forecast during the Fly-In.


After consulting all weather experts, we sadly have to announce that we have to cancel the Texel Fly-In this year, for safety reasons.

On Friday we do expect a lot of rain and over the whole weekend there will be a very strong northwesterly wind up to 25-28 KTS. It looks like it won’t be a lot of fun camping on the airport, the temperature will drop to about 14ºC.

The planning is to organize a Fly-in Cinema in May 2016 and the regular Fly-In in August 2016. We surely hope to welcome you next year.
