Heb vanochtend het nu uitgekomen factual report van dit merkwaardige ongeval, een dikke 400 pagina’s, eens doorgenenomen.

Een meer volledig raport met bevindingen wordt verwacht in Maart 2005.
Ik probeer voor mijzelf een antwoord te vinden op de vraag hoe en waarom een, (volgens zijn profile,zie einde rapport,) ervaren captain, professionele benadering van het vak, stabiele figuur, role model voor jonge F/O’s, gelukkig huwelijk, laatste sim ride zeer geode beoordeling etc. een in het begin lichte deviatie van het gewenste flight profile heeft laten degenereren tot een catastrofale attitude, 110 degr. Bank, 50 degr. pitch down, waarna voor ingezette recovery geen voldoende hoogte meer beschikbaar was.
Een opmerkelijk factueel gegeven staat op pag. 66 en 67, wat ik hieronder heb gekopieerd. Ben zelf in 2003 eens met deze airline positioned van HECA naar EDDL en als ik toen geweten had wat op betreffende pagina’s staat was ik niet ingestapt.

In mijn herinnering staat nog de GF#072 crash voor de kust van Bahrain in Augustus 2000. Ik vroeg mij toen ook af wat, waar, hoe? Maar na het lezen van het eind rapport
was het me volledig duidelijk. Het heeft zelfs tot in EK een schokgolf in de upgrade policy tot gevolg gehad.
Ben dan ook zeer benieuwd of mijn huidige vraag in het rapport van Maart 2005 beantwoord word.
Ik mag trouwens ook graag uw reacties eens vernemen, maar neem dan wel eerst het rapport door graag.
